Shania was broke in May/June of 2002 and has done very well since then.
She's enjoyable to ride on a trailride and working cattle.
She was used during A.I. season for the first time in 2003.  She had a lot of hours put on her during this time and she really let the cattle know that she was in charge.
I haven't roped any cattle, but she has had a rope thrown off of her and has never shown any fear of the rope.  She also work a gate
and has continued to be used in the cattle work and trailriding.

She's a granddaughter of High Brow Hickory and a great granddaughter of Doc O'Lena on the top side.
Her dam is a granddaughter of Sailing Crystals and is Top Moon, Sugar Bars, and Two Eyed Jack bred.

In her first Foundation show, held in Salina, KS on October 24-26, 2003,
she was 6th in the 2000 Mares Conformation class.
She also competed in Ranch Reining, Handy Ranch Horse, and Ranch Pleasure.
She did well in the riding classes, especially reining and pleasure, but
didn't place in the top 6.

Our nephew, William, who was 10 at the time, rode Shania during the Christmas holidays 2002.
A 2-year old horse and a 10-year old boy got along great!!

Grant, who was 9 at the time, rode her in March
and in July, Matthew, who was 6, rode her.
She does very well for all ages.
